In honor of African Women, especially women of Nigerian descent, Wiki Loves Women is organizing and hosting an edit-a-thon to improve coverage of female children and women in politics and entertainment in Nigeria on Wikipedia.

Activities will include new editor orientation and training, organized with the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria (WUGN). There will be a morning session, with a repeat in the afternoon. Its a closed event with specific target audience in mind. Refreshments generously supplied by Wiki Loves Women.

Who: Wikipedians; No advanced technical skills required – those with experience will help

What to bring: Laptop computer with power cable; If you’ve been part of the data-gathering exercise leading up to the edit-a-thon, bring your files and photos; If you have not been part of the preparatory research work, there will be an ambitious task list for you to work on.
